The four routes intend to show the natural, cultural and landscape heritage, as well as the endogenous resources of the municipality, through infrastructures and equipment created with the aim of increasing the tourism offer, in a region classified by FAO as World Agricultural Heritage. Based on the genuineness of the territory, the traditional way of working the land, treating the cattle, and the communitarianism of its inhabitants.

Rota das Levadas – PR4 BTC

“Rota das Levadas” (“Levadas” Route) has a total length of 13.3 km and it is circular, having its beginning and its end in “Boticas Parque – Natureza & Biodiversidade”. The route begins by following the left bank of the “Beça River” and then, crossing it, follows the right bank where it crosses the cultivated land of the alluvial plain. More

“Trilho do Guerreiro” (Warrior Trail) privileges the passage on public, traditional and old paths, passing by Vilar village, goes by Beça River, it crosses Beça River foals, then passes the “Castro do Outeiro Lesenho” (Outeiro Lesenho “Castro” hillfort) and finally runs the “Mamoa de Chã do Lesenho” (megalithic funerary monument).
