The multi-awarded Mel de Barroso, produced in a territory classified as World Agricultural Heritage by the United Nations, obtained once again the highest score in the 12th edition of the National Honey Competition, which the Federação Nacional dos Apicultores de Portugal (FNAP) organized in conjunction with the Feira Nacional de Agricultura/Feira do Ribatejo, at the Centro Nacional de Exposições, in Santarém, last March.

THE HONEY WITH PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN IS PROMOTED BY THE COOPERATIVA AGRO RURAL DE BOTICAS (CAPOLIB).

Mel de Barroso was the favourite among a batch of 83 honey samples presented in the competition, which aims to make known and to value the quality, specificity and diversity of the honey produced in Portugal.
