Products of the region promoted in initiative of the Alto Tâmega Taverns Network

The Casa do Pedro, in Vilarinho Seco, was this Monday (August 31st) the chosen place for another initiative of the Alto Tâmega Taverns Network.

One of the highlights of the event was the tasting of potatoes of the kennebec variety, produced by farmers from each of the six municipalities that make up Alto Tâmega (Boticas, Chaves, Montalegre, Ribeira de Pena, Valpaços and Vila Pouca de Aguiar).

The jury of the competition, constituted by several potato lovers and chefs Vítor Sobral, Hélio Loureiro and Vítor Adão, elected the boiled potato of Ribeira de Pena the most tasty of Alto Tâmega.

Another highlight of the initiative was the launch of products bearing the CAPOLIB label (the goat, the lamb, and the potato of the kennebec and desiree varieties).
