The Boticas Municipality will apply 278 thousand euros at the Barroso Nature Observation Center, which aims to create more pedestrian paths, a birding shelter and the recovery of a dam on the Beça river.
Boticas Mayor Fernando Queiroga told Lusa yesterday that the project aims to improve the conditions of visitation of Boticas Parque – Nature and Biodiversity, which covers the parishes of Vilar, Codessoso and Beça.
According to the mayor, it is a project funded by Provere – Program for the Economic Enhancement of Endogenous Resources – which aims to improve the conditions of visit to the park that “has already become an important attraction pole for tourists.”
The Barroso Nature Observation Center includes the creation of rails, the construction of a beach resort building, an arborism course, a prefabricated poultry shelter, a trout tank, the extension of the wooden walkway already and the recovery of a dam on the Beça river.
