In this 8 km circular hike, departing and arriving in the village of Bobadela (next to TVAPIC), you will get to know one of the most important fortified villages in the county, the Hillfort of Sapelos (Castro de Sapelos).
On the way, flanked by agricultural fields to the Terva river lagoon, one can see the imposing defensive system of the hillfort, consisting of three lines of walls and a complex of pits visible several kilometers away.
From the lagoon, the route runs along the side of the N103 road to the dirt road that gives access to the hillfort promontory, from which you benefit from one of the 10 most spectacular views of Boticas.
Along the road N103, on the right side, are numerous swallow nests built in tunnels on a sandy slope.
The return to Bobadela is made through the colorful village of Sapelos, where we recommend you to enjoy some of its heritage. We highlight the chapel of Santo Amaro, the Cruzeiro pillory, the Portal house and two original fountains.
